Boutique Hotel Venturo

Hotel Venturo is a new boutique hotel in Split, located between Bačvice Beach and Diocletian’s Palace. Designed as an intimate, design-led retreat, the hotel offers a contemporary Mediterranean experience. The goal was to create the brand from the ground up — from the name and strategic positioning to the visual and verbal identity that would help the hotel stand out in a saturated luxury accommodation market.

The brand needed to feel both luxurious and intimate, modern but still connected to the local culture, and focused on the experience rather than just accommodation. Instead of status luxury, the brand focuses on emotional luxury. This idea is expressed through the slogan: Find your moment. The communication shifts the focus from the hotel itself to the guest and their personal experience. The name Venturo comes from the Latin words ventus (wind) and venire (to come), as well as the phrase tempo venturo, meaning the time to come. The name represents movement, arrival, and change.

The visual identity is centered around a monogram derived from the letter “V”, whose soft serif contours evoke a sense of movement and continuity. At its core lies a dialogue between two distinct typographic voices: the expressive elegance of Ninna by Claude Type, used in the logo, and the disciplined clarity of Gordian by Nikola Djurek, inspired by classical Roman capital inscriptions and applied across the broader communication system. The interplay between these typefaces creates a balance between softness and structure, contemporary expression and historical reference, resulting in a visual language that is both distinctive and enduring. A palette of warm, sandy tones and textures reflects the light, stone, and calm atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast. The visual system combines classic elegance with modern simplicity, creating a sense of subtle luxury.
